Large amount of our population depends upon agriculture. The method of farming changed a lot with time. Many years ago farmers were used animals for farming but now they are using machinery and equipments for farming.

This is the reason why our present agriculture known as mechanized agriculture. Nowdays the modern equipments like tractor ,thresher, seed drill, plough, rotavator extra in these all most common is tractor which is used by all the farmers.

Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW) provides Subsidy to farmers through State Governments under different schemes, such as Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) for purchase of various agricultural equipment’s and machines, National Food Security Mission (NFSM), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm (NMOOP).

DAC&FW Which provide subsidy on agriculture equipments too small and marginal farmers which helps in increasing production and productivity, improvement utilization efficiency of costlier inputs such as fertilizer, seeds and irrigation water and also reduced cost of cultivation.

The goal of the scheme is to reach farm mechanization too small and marginal farmers, promoting ‘custom hiring’ center ,Creating hubs for hi-tech & high value farm equipment’s and creating awareness among farmers through demonstration and capacity building activities.

The Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare has executed Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization. Under this Sub-Mission by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, endowment @ 40% of the venture cost constrained to a limit of Rs. 24 lakhs, whichever is less, is reached out to the rustic business people, dynamic rancher and self improvement gatherings for foundation of homestead apparatus banks for custom recruiting involving different horticultural hardware and gear including consolidate gatherer.

While applying, keep the following documents with you;

1. Copy of Aadhaar card

2. Copy of first page of bank passbook

3. Caste certificate issued by the competent officer (only for SC and ST farmers)

4. Proof of electricity connection (in case of irrigation equipment)

Condition for tractor purchase

1. Farmers of any category can purchase tractors.

2. Only those farmers will be eligible who have not received the benefit of grant under any scheme of the department on the purchase of tractor or power tiller in the last 7 years.

3. The benefit of grant can be availed on any one – tractor and power tiller.
